I may be a carry-on traveler basically 100% of the time, but that doesn’t mean I don’t pack some semi-bougie or semi-luxury things with me on my trips! Because I’m in my 30s and you bet I’m packing some good skincare and some good cozy or comfy or self care things! So if you’re looking for some bougie things to add to your carry-on bags, let’s get into some of my favorites.
And if you buy any items from the links in this post, I may earn commission. So thank you so much for your support, it helps me continue to write helpful travel content like this for you!
Charlotte Tilbury Instant Magic Facial Dry Face Mask
This is my FAVORITE skincare item to pack with me on any trip, especially flights. The Charlotte Tilbury Instant Magic Facial Dry Face Mask is a miracle item because as it is named, it is dry to the touch. So it feels like super soft felt. However, when you put this bad boy on, there’s something completely magical in it that melts into your skin and when you take the mask off your skin is aaaabsolutely so soft and moisturized. I’m telling you, it’s genuinely sorcery.
It’s also perfect for travel BECAUSE OF it being dry. You can put it on mid-flight and it doesn’t drip serum all over, getting all over your seat and stuff. I literally love this thing so much, it’s the best.

Do you look a little like Jason Voorhees sitting in seat 18C? Sure, sure you do.
But does your skin feel incredible? It sure does.
ALSO it can be used multiple times! I use it 4-5x, so don’t let the price tag scare you because you can divide it by 5 to show what it really costs per use.
TheraGun Mini by Therabody
I’m in my 30s which means shit that didn’t used to hurt does now. Add that to sitting for long flights or long car rides and I’ve got tight muscles I didn’t even earn!
That’s where this incredible little machine comes in. The TheraGun Mini is a small, magical massage gun that I legitimately pack for every trip now. It’s the best way to knead out sore muscles whether you were literally just stuck in a seat traveling or went on a long hike.

It comes in a few cute colors, is super small to pack, and holds a charge for quite some time.
I was gifted this product originally, but I would purchase a replacement should mine get lost or stolen or whatever. I love it that much!
AirTags
I ALWAYS put an AirTag in both my personal item and my roller bag. It seems extra, especially since these are carry-on items and in theory with you your whole trip, but if you have to surprise check your bigger luggage or your bags are ever in a vehicle, it’s SO nice to have peace of mind and know exactly where they are.

Genuinely, I have AirTags everywhere even outside of travel. In my car, on my dog, etc., so I tend to buy a 4-pack!
Handheld Mini Fan
If you’re like me and don’t like just, sweating for no reason, you’re going to love this little fan. It is perfect for hot, humid weather and saved me in places like the Ecuadorian Amazon and at a Puerto Vallarta wedding.

This great little fan has
- multiple speed settings
- wrist strap to not drop
- flashlight
- USB charger
LARQ Self-Cleaning and UV Purifying Water Bottle
This LARQ water bottle comes with me everywhere I travel. It uses UV technology to self clean and purify the water so that no matter where I go I always have clean and safe drinking water.

The charge lasts like 2 whole weeks, which is really impressive. It comes in some cute colors and it’s really resilient (I’ve dropped mine quite a few times).
I bought one for my husband and he bought multiple for his family because we love them so much.
So there you have it, 5 semi-bougie things I travel with on every trip even when I pack exclusively in carry-on. It’s possible that I’ll add more and more to this carry-on packing list over time, but I’d have to test them out extensively in order for them to be on this guaranteed list. Hopefully if you purchase any of these, you love them just as much as I do!
